Primitive Technology

Using what you've learned about orientations, pivot points, proportional editing, units, and snapping, create a scene using only primitives. To keep things simple, don't enter edit mode and don't use any 'Simulate' modifiers.

The purpose of this exercise is just to get comfortable creating and transforming objects in object mode, so feel free to be as creative as you'd like.

Rules of the Exercise

  • 1
The scene should include over 15 primitives.
  • 2
It must be created only out of primitives.
  • 3
Objects in the scene should be appropriately sized in imperial or metric units.

Hi there, I’m a 3D artist and designer for the CG Cookie crew. Outside the studio I’m a big fan of hiking, reading, watching movies, writing, and consuming excessive amounts of tea.
