  • jgonzalez Easier in terms of workflow and intuitiveness, yes. However, the objects created in a medium project have extremely dense meshes. So, I will have to re-topologize them in Blender in the future in order to be able to use them in any games or VR experiences we plan on making in the future.

I highly recommend Medium as at least a concept art tool; comparing it to Tilt Brush for 3D objects is a good comparison, but it is more compatible with Blender and Unity (Tilt Brush only exports in .tilt files while Medium exports .obj and .fbx files ) and medium has more resources available and feels more like you're sculpting and working with an object rather than just painting with cool moving ribbons.

My end goal is to be able to create in Medium, re-topologize in blender for a nice, clean mesh (then I guess fix the texture maps if needed) then finalize them in Unity as I have here.

  • Do you find using Oculus Medium easier to use than Blender? I've never used it myself, I assume it's something like Tilt Brush for 3d models.
